THE DOCTOR’S BILL

WILL COUNCIL PAY? A resident of Papakura gave a.man a lift in her car the other day, and in traversing over one of the local roads the car hit a bump and so did the passenger. He struck the roof of the vehicle so hard that he suffered concussion afterwards and had to be treated by the doctor. At the Papakura Borough Council meeting last week members suffered a sort of mental concussion when a bill was presented to the council for £1 Is, the medical fee for treating the bump. The account, met the usual fate of all local body puzzles and was referred to the legal and finance committee for consideration.
