COMMISSION GAINED SUB.-LIEUT. A. W. ROBERTSON SON OF LOCAL RESIDENT Mr A. M. Robertson, of the Australian Mutual Provident Society, stationed at Pukekohe, has received advice that his younger son, Alexander Walter Robertson, has been promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Fleet Air Arm. „ Sub-Lieutenant Robertson was educated at the Remuera school and at the Auckland Grammar School. Prior to enlisting, he was a member of the staff of the A.M.P. office in Auckland. He was prominent in Rugby football circles. Sub-Lieutenant Robertson left New Zealand in September of last year to join the Fleet Air Arm, and w T as later transferred to Canada for advanced training. He has since returned to England. A brother of Sub-Lieutenant Robertson is FlightLieutenant L. A. Robertson, R.N.Z.A.F., stationed at Ohakea.
