EVENIJG AT TUAKAU SOLDIERS’ WELFARE FUND An enjoyable card party arranged by the Tuakau Soldiers’ Welfare league was held in the Tuakau Town Board meeting room on Thursday last. There was a good attenance and competition was keen. The first, prizewinners in the bridge section were Mrs A. Brough and Mr Archie Bell, and in the five hundred, Miss D. Short and Mr -I. Hardy. Hidden number prizes went to Airs G. Lapwood and Mr A. Wright. A dainty supper served by the ladies enhanced the success of the evening.
