The. validity or otherwise of a cheque received by the clerk of the Papakura Borough Council was. well —just quietly commented upon at Hie council meeting lasi week. A member to the Mayor. Mr S. Evans: "Do you lhi*k Hie cheque is all right?” The Mayor: “Oh. I think so.” Then another member closed the discussion by saying: “The man in question is a Jersey breeder.” “Thai's O.K. and the end of if.” said the first member. So much for tiie high status of Jersey breeders.
