DOMINION ROAD

COUNTY END METALLED Dominion road, which runs between Settlement Road in the Borough area to Clevedon road in the Manukau County area, is now an all-weather road. The* borough portion has been metalled for many years but the half mile or so in the county has been left in the clas\ state, with the result that in the winter months the road was almost impassable. Many petitions have been made in the past to the county authorities without avail, but now the county has made a good job with 7 inches of metal and a good highway is available to the residents in this vicinity. The road provides a short cut for motorists from Keri Keri and Ardmore to Settlement road and Red Tlill districts, also to TTunua.
