Mrs Robinson had vivid memories of the Maori war. She served her church as urganisi for a period. Sunday school superintendent. PAY.M.U. vice-presi-dent and latlerly as presidenl of the ladies’ guild. At the Sunday evening service held on February IS al which the Rev. G. F. McKenzie officiated, .Mrs Holmes on behalf of Ihe congregation, unveiled a slandard pulpit lamp. This was switched on by Mr .McKenzie who dedicated (I lo Ihe glory of God and spoke of il as a very lilting memorial to the one whose life was a shining Christian example lo all around her.
Al the close of Hie service her eldest son. Mr .1. W. Robinson, on behalf of her family, thanked all for honouring their mother with this most appropriate memorial.
