OBITUARY
MR G. A. CAMPBELL POPULAR CLEVEDON FARMER. The death lias occurred of Mr George Alister Campbell, of Ness Valley, Clevedon, at tlie age of ?>*.), years. Mr Campbell was the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs Colin Campbell, early pioneers, and had been farming at Ness Valley during his lifetime. Twentvfi ur years ago Mr Campbell married Miss Rhoda McQuarrie of Parn d!. Mr Campbell look a keen i;iter, -i i 1 local affairs and up to the last ihr years when illness prevented him from doing so, he was associated witli many local bodies. He was a membet of the Clevedon A. and P. Association for many years having held office as a vice-president. His last outing was at the show early this month. He was also a member of the Clevedon school committee, the bowling club and a life member of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. lie is survived by Mrs Campbell and four daughters—Misses Alwyn, Roie, Madge and Allison. The funeral, which took place on Friday at Clevedon, was largely attended. An immense number of floral emblems testified to bis popularity.
