YOUNG ATHLETE INJURED

[MOTOR ACCIDENT CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS Concussion and injuries to the Body were sustained by Mr William John Kelly, aged 18 years, son of Mr and Mrs W. Kelly, of Alberl Street, Pukekohe, when .a car in which lie was a passenger skidded on the wet read Tin Sal unlay evening in ihe vicinity of Westfield. The driver of the car, Mr Reginald Kelly, son oi' Sergeant and Mrs T. Kelly, Pukekohe, was also injured. The driver of a following car attended The injured young men and conveyed (hem to the Auckland hospital. Mr W. Kelly was admitted to the inslitution and Mr R. Kelly, after attention. was aide to return home. The condition of Mr W. Kelly is si ill - fairly serious. The young man. a denial mechanic, employed by Mr D. MeCready Armstrong. is a prominent member of the Franklin Amateur Athletic Club and at present is the leading athlete for the club's poiniK cup.
