MILITARY TRAINING CADETS IN BARRACKS WORK AT THE HIGH SCHOOL A barracks for A company, 4tfi Cadet Battalion, Pukekohc Technical High School Unit, is being held at the Pukekohe Technical High School from February 20„to 21, and a comprehensive course has been laid down with the approval of the area officer. Physical training is a prominent part of the daily routine and all sections ore undergoing training in swimming (non-swimmers). life-saving (land drill) and theoretical and practical first aid.

The N.G.O’s. are also -undergoing a special course of instruction.

Infantry drill and arms training are progressing well and a specialised unit —the signal section —is having special tuition.

The Company is under the command of Capt. G. C. Revell and he is assisted. by Sergeant G. Perrett (N.Z.P.S.), Sergeant Firth (N.Z.P.S.), and Gunner Hickson (R.N.Z.A.), while members of Ihe school staff are assisting with swimming and first aid. The weather is ideal and the cadets appear to be enjoying the course which should be of -material benefit to all concerned.
