MILK FOR CHEESE
METHOD OF PAYMENT In previous dairying seasons a system of payment for milk for cheesemaking- according to the potential yield of cheese of any particular milk supply was devised at the Dairy Research Institute and tried out in a number of factories, says the annual report of the New Zealand Dairy Board. During the past season the results of investigation have been reviewed and' a report will shortly he published which will provide the industry with tire necessary data upon which to base a decision as to whether a change in tiie system of payment for cheese milk is desirable. The “Costed Cheese” system has been shown to be practicable. It has been in use as a basis of payment in one commercial factory for the past two years and has given satisfaction.
