The Approach of the Swimming Season

PUKEKOHE CLUB AFFAIRS ANNUAL MEETING HELD MUCH ENTHUSIASM SHOWN -•s The attendance at the annual meeting of the Pukekohe Swimming Club held in Mr N. G. Winter’s rooms last evening was most encouraging, and augurs well for the success of the approaching swimming season. Mr C. H. Jemison presided. The balance sheet disclosed a credit of £ll. Following were the officers elected: Patron, Mr C. K. Lawrie; president, Mr W. F. J. Munro; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Wright, H. S. Wanklyn, H. Curd, K. Liddle, M. S. Campbell and J. Comrie; secretary, Mr R. C. Page; assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr K. 11. Leak; committee, Misses Hutton and Spensly, Messrs H. Ilalligan, G H. Jemison, S. Wright, N. Rush, N. G. Winter, and G. O’Hara; starter, Mr S. J. Youlden; handicapper, Mr T. Reynolds; assistant handicapper, v Mr G. Moyle. It was decided to hold regular club nights and carnivals throughout the season, ’commencing if the baths were open, with a club night on December 13.

Much enthusiasm was displayed and future prospects are particularly bright. ""■*
