Inspector Davenport stated that he had observed defendant pass another car on the bend on' the Great South Road immediately north of Pokeno on October 22. To do this Dunn had to go over to the wrong side of the road. He continued on his incorect side until he was able to pull on to the correct side. Defendant was convicted and ordered to pay costs only, 10s. When the Magistrate imposed the penalty, defendant told his Worship that Inspector Davenport had showed him every courtesy in drawing his attention to the offence, after he had slopped him.
