As in most cases the conversation turned to cattle marking with the “Clinch” Tattoo Marker. “This,” said the Manager, “is a New Zealand invention, and is the only one of its kind with the old fashioned one-eye needle process which weaves a beautiful mark in the ears of all stock. The Private Registered Design, all kinds and shapes of devices, letters and figures, are all woven in so plain and neat. It can mark seriatim up to 999.999, and that is not all, for six figures will mark up to 29 head.” “Well, this is the very Brand we want,” said Mr Hume, and he meant it, for all Herd Testipg Associations are now using it for obtaining records. It has no equal. Today it is used all over this Dominion. Now these markings are really worth noting: Herd Number, Registered Design and Birth Date, Right Ear, Milk Yield; Test and Lactation Period in the Left Ear. Altogether it is the only up-to-date machine actually in use today. There is no machine of equal value today, because it never lies, but tells the truth, and has helped many an honest mam to success.
