i 11 DEAD AT GLENBROOK J POWER POLE BREAKS J During the height of Saturday . night’s storm, or early yesterday ' morning, a pole which carries the I electric power into Mr Ron Wymer’s property at Glenbrook, broke causing the line to fall to the ground. Dairy cows which were sheltering under some macrocarpa trees stampeded and ran into the electric wires with the result that eleven .milking cows were killed, and another, a pedigree heifer, severely paralysed. The heifer was £olll® yesterday -morning lying across the wires, but it is expected she will recover. The value of the dead cows is saidto be about £l5O, a very severe loss for the owner.
