Business Firms’ Picnic.

The staffs of Wallace Supplies, Limited, at Buckland, Pokeno and Tuakau, together with some 40 employees from the National Trading Company, Auckland, held their annual picnic at Clark’s beach on Sunday. Ideal weather prevailed. A cricket match played resulted in a win for Wallace Supplies by 76 runs. Later in the afternoon a sports programme was held. The relay race was won by the National Trading Company. Ice cream and soft drinks were distributed. The organisers, Mr Strell and Mrs Rusbworth, spared no effort to make the outing an outstanding success.
