Road Lights in the Franklin County.

SUGGESTED ALTERATIONS. | NEW ONES APPROVED. I A schedule showing road lights in : various parts of the Franklin county - was presented to Monday’s meeting of the council by the engineer, Mr J. F. McArthur. Stating that as traffic conditions had I altered since many of the lights were i installed, and the council had consid- ! ered the advisability of making adjustments, the engineer suggested the following alterations: Light at Hayward’s, Great South road, be removed 1o the intersection of the PukekoheBombay main highway and Bombay deviation; light at Mauku railway be shifted to Mauku hall; Ilingaia bridge light be taken to Paerata and Waiuku road junction; shifting of light at Ramararna (Great South road) to opposite corner and light and pole at Ramararna hall to a better position; light on Tuakau-Pokeno highway to Smeed’s corner. He recommended the elimination of the following lights: Boundary Papakura town district (Great South road), llunua (west of store), and Pukekohe Easl-Tuakau road (Red hill). The recommendations were adopted, and it was decided to erect new lights at the undermentioned points: Patumahoe school corner, junction P'alumahoe hill road with PapakuraTili main highway, Drury school, Paerata hall and Paerata bridge corner.
