CAUGHT EIGHT TIMES. CARRIER FINED £3O. Stated by Traffic Inspector T. C. Clissold to have been caught operating an unlicensed goods service between Taumarunui and .Auckland. .on seven occasions, Victor Louis Shuter appeared before the Papakura Court on Friday. . Mr Wiseman entered a plea of

guilty. . The inspector added ' that when stopped on each occasion defendant stated that the goods on his lorry were his property, whereas it was found that they were not: Defendant did not have a goods licence at any time, there being no licensed services to Taumarunui. “This man has caused a lot of consternation," added the inspector. Mr F. H. Levien,, S.M. : Why did you not prosecute him before ? The inspector:.We want to put him off the road definitely. The magistrate: I know the defendant’s name well. He is one of those half-dozen people who fill up these record books in courts. I believe he has been in every court between here and Taumarunui. .I have'only seen the man once, although I have convicted him dozens of times.
