COMING SEASON. THE ST. JAMES’ CLUB. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the St. James’ Presbyterian Tennis Club was held last evening, the president, Mr A. Schlaepfcr, presiding over a good attendance. The report and balance sheet disclosed a very satisfactory state of affairs, and showed the financial position to he sound. The following officers were elected: Patron, Rev. J. Pattison; presdient, Mr A. Schlaepfer; vice-presidents, Messrs L. G. Sharp, J. Roulston, G. K. Lawrie, G. R. Wright and R. Schlaepfer; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Fauset; auditor, Mr D. R. Hamilton; committee, Misses N. and B. Per- I kins, A. Scott, Mrs Shotbolt, Messrs R. Perkins, I. Fausett and T. Keven; club captain, Mr A. Fausett; vice-captain, Mr R. Perkins; delegates to Franklin Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs A. Fausett and R. Perkins.
The opening day was fixed for October 5, when a tournament will beheld.
It is quite on the cards that the club will enter two teams in the association competitions.
