FINANCIAL POSITION. THE YEAR’S OPERATIONS. The audited balance sheet of the Papakura Social Welfare League for the year discloses a credit of £l4 15s 9d, and assets over liabilities amountnig to £lO .16s 4d. Details are: — Receipts.-*-Gredit balance at commencement of year, £3O 11s sd; depot receipts, £39 11s 3d; town board (art union allocations), £6l: donations. £3; interest (savings bank account) 14s 7d: discount. 4d: total, £134 17s 7d.
Expenditure. —Clothing, £Bl 0s 3d: boots and repairs, £5 7s 6d; food, £l4 0s lid: milk, £7 18s; bread, £4 10s 6d: wood and coal, £2 Is 9d; donations paid out, £1 16s 8d: train and bus fares to hospital, etc., £1 8s: mattresses, 15s: bed and breakfasts, 4s 6d; cartage, 3s 6d: medicine, ss: depot expenses, iOs 3d: total. £l2O 1s lOd. Balance in hand, £l4 15s 9d. Assets. —New clothing. 10s: savings bank account, £6 8s 7d: cash in hand. £8 7s 2d: total. £ls 15s 9d. Liabilities. —Outstanding accounts. £4 9s sd. Assets over liabilities, £lO 16s 4d.
