Mangatawhiri Sports Club’s Activities.
ANNUAL MEETING. I | SPORTS ON JANUARY 19. ' | I A loss of £l2 on the year’s operations was reported at the annual meeting of the Mangatawhiri Sports Club held on Monday evening. The loss, it was stated, was due to the \vet weather experienced on the occasion of the last sports. A credit of £ll was shown in the balance sheet. The president, Mr S. P. Pendergrast, presided over a good attendance. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr S. J. Mcllroy; president, Mr Pendergrast; vice-presidents, Messrs G. J. Leathern F. W. Kelsall, J. Dean, W. Motion, T. Cameron, R. S. Naylor, R. H. McKenzie, Dynes Fulton and E. R. Smith; secretary, Mr L. C. Grogan ; treasurer, Mr K. McKenzie; auditor, Mr H. Appleby; committee, last year’s committee was re-elected, with the 1 addition of Messrs G. Pullar, W. ! Couch, W. Coley, J. B. Parker, V. Hastie, C. Ryder, G. Austin, A. Maitland, G. Hastie, V. Woods, J. Pendergrast , and R. Aldred; handicappers, Messrs F. T. McAneny, W. S. Hirst, S. J. Mcllroy and H. Appleby; starters, Messrs W. Motion and C. J. Leathern ; judges, Messrs J. Fagan, R. H. McKenzie and J. Parker. The club decided to affiliate with the South Auckland Athletic Association. The sports were arranged to be held on January 19.
