THE ST. JAMES’ CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the St. .Tames’ Tennis Club was held on Tuesday evening, the president, Mr A. Sehlaepfer, presiding over a fair attendance of members. The report and balance sheet showed that the club was in a sound financial position, after meeting heavy expenditure in resurfacing the courts. The following officers were elected: Patron, the Rev. J. Pattison; president, Mr A. Sehlaepfer f vice-presid-ents, Messrs G. R. Wright, Jas. Roulston, senr., C. K. Lawrie, R. Schlaepfer, and L. G. Sharp; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Fausett; club captain, Mr A. Fauseit; vice-captain, Mr R. Perkins; delegates to the Franklin Association, Messrs A. Fausett and R. Perkins; committee, Misses N. and B. Perkins. A. Scott and Mrs Shotbolt, Messrs I. Fausett, R. Perkins and T. 1 Keven: auditor, Mr D. R. 1 Hamilton. Several new members Were elected. Opening day was fixed 'for October 6.
Tt is the club’s intention to enter A and B teams in the association’s competitions.
