THE TURF.

BAY OF ISLANDS MEETING. TO BE HELD AT PUKEKOHE. Subject to the approval of the New Zealand Racing Conference, and provided that there is no objection regarding the date, the Bay of Islands Racing Club's meeting this season will be held at Pukekohe on January : 2fl under the auspices of the Franklin Racing Club. Representatives of the two <dubs met at Whangarei on Saturday to discuss arrangements for the meeting. Messrs D. Fulton. F. A. ITosking and W. J. Short represented the Franklin club. The Bay of Islands Racing Club usually races on its own course at Kawakawa and has already been granted January 20 as its date this season. Tt is proposed to give larger stakes at, Pukekohe than would be possible if the meeting were held at Kawakawa.
