LAST EVENING'S PERFORMANCE.

Under the auspices of the Puke-
kolie Municipal Band, a sarced concert
I was held in the Strand theatre last evj ening. Johnson gave an euphonium solo, "La Sonam-
bula." Pianoforte solos were played i by Mrs B. Blennerhassett; a trio giv- | en by Misses D. and V. King and Mr 11.
: T. King; and elocutionary numbers by j Miss Marjorie Treanor. Mr J. Smith- ! son proved a very versatile artist. In , addition to songs with hand harp ac- ' companiment, he gave yodelling numbers and accordeon solos. All the items were exceptionally well received. It is the intention of the band to hold another concert in about a fort- ! night's time.
