PAPAKURA SUPPLIERS MEET. BIG BUTTERFAT INCREASE. The Papakura suppliers of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd. met at Papakura last week when Mr J. R. Wilson presided over a fair attendance. Mr Wilson was re-ap-pointed chairman and last year's committee was re-elected. Mr Davy, assistant general manager, gave a resume of the company's activities and the chairman of directors, Mr Dynes Fulton, dealt with matters affected by the Ottawa conference and exchange. II was stated by Mr Davy that up to the end of February the increase of butterfat over for the corresponding period last season was 5,900,000 lbs. The quality was not quite so good this season but was not so bad as stated in the newspapers. The Dairy Produce Board would, he said, take control of all whey and second grade butler from May 1. The average payment for huttcrfal to the end of February was B.sSo*d as compared with lfU2d for the corresponding period last season. The company had gained the supply from about 28.000 cows this season. The now factory which the company had erected in London dad turned out 2.500 tons of butter in lib. lib, and Jib cartons this season, and"expect to turn out 3,000 tons next season.
