RUGBY FOOTBALL.

ONEWHERO CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING HELD

The president, Mr A. Crawford, presided over a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Onewhero Rugby Football Club held on Thursday evening.

The balance sheet showed a credit of £G 10s.

Officers elected were: Patron, Mr A. Crawford: president. Mr 11. Dyer; vicepresidents, same as last year with the addition of Messrs D. B. Anderson and C. IT: Walter: secretary. Mr IT. A. Murray: delegates to the Franklin subunion, Messrs Murray and W. Walter.

A social committee was appointed to conduct dances, the first to be held early in May. It was decided to enter both a senior and a junior team for the competitions. The subscription was reduced from 5/- to hi-.

The question of referees was discussed, delegates to the suh-union being instructed to vote for the reforming of the Franklin Referees' Association. It was decided to nominate Messrs L. r.athcart and I. Ellwood for referees.

PATUMAHOE CLUB. A large number of players and supporters attended the annual meeting of the Patumahoe Football Club held on Saturday evening, the president, Mr W. E. Johns, presiding. The financial statement showed the club to be in a good position, and that a small profit was made on last season's operations. Officers were elected as follow. — President. Mr Johns: vice-presidents, Messrs J. J. Wilson and E. Gallagher: secretary, Mr C. R. Sheppard: senior selector, Mr F. Needham: .junior selector, Mr G. Howard: delegates to the Pukekohe sub-union, Messrs Johns, Sheppard and T. Short: committee, same members as last season. It is hoped to enter two teams for the competitions.
