SCOTCH NIGHT.

CONCERT AT TUAKAU.

HELD BY LADIES' GUILD

Arranged by the St. Stephen's Ladies' Guild. Tuakau, a most successful Scotch concert was held in the Presbyterian hall on Friday evening. Songs were contributed by Mrs McGill, Messrs R. M. S. Black and D. Mcßae, recitations were given by Miss Pendergrast. and other items by schoolgirls, Misses Edna Hard and Esther McGill. The feature of the evening was the selections played on the 'pipes by Piper R. Phillips. Although comparatively N young, the piper has had experience in pipe bands in France during the war, as a boy in his 'teens, and also in Edinburgh. He pleased his audience with many items. The singing of the National Anthem concluded a most enjoyable concert.
