WEDDING BELLS.

ASHWORTH—3LAKE, CEREMONY AT WAIUKU. On Wednesday, March 1, the Rev. W. S. Neal officiated at a wedding of much interest, when Miss Evelyn Blake , of "The Anchorage," Collingvvood road, Waiuku, became the wife of Raymond Ashworth, of Te Toro. The bride, who was escorted to the,,. church by her father, Mr J. A. Blake, carried a beautiful sheaf of white lilies and looked charming in ivory flat crepe, the frock being cut on classic lines, falling in graceful folds to the feet. A handsome embroidered veil with the customary orange blossom, completed a most becoming toilet. The bridesmaids in attendance were Miss Jean Blake, sister of the bride, and Miss Mary Vaughan, who were dressed alike in bois de rose organdie with graduated flared frills, arranged perpendicularly on the full skirts. The tight fitting bodices j were in contrast to the elbow length sleeves composed entirely of frills. Picture hats to tone and lace mittens were worn and Early Victorian posies were carried.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr Robert Green, of Hamilton, as best man, while Mr Ernest Ashworth. was groomsman.

Mrs J. A. Blake was gowned in an ankle length frock of shell pink georgette with large cape collar, and threetiered skirt. She wore a black crinoline hat with pink trimmings, and carried a bouquet of shaded asters, and pink 'pom-pom dahlias.

Mrs Ashworth, mother of the bridegroom, wore navy satin beaute, relieved with trimming of mushroom georgette, and wore a smart hat of navy pedaline. Her bouquet was in autumn tints.

Miss Frances Blake wore saxe blue trimmed with ruchings of white ninon and white felt hat. The church was charmingly decorated and reflected great credit on Mrs Blake, who wasfresponsible for the dainty effect. The wedding ceremony was feelingly and impressively carried out by Mr Neal, and during the signing of the register Miss Winifred West sang very beautifully, "Love's Coronation."

The guests then repaired to the Wesley hall where they were received by Mr and Mrs J. A. Blake, and where the wedding breakfast was partaken of, and the usual toasts honoured.

The bride and groom left by car for Rolorua and Taupo, the bride wearing a smart ensemble of blue relieved with white hat and shoes to tone.
