GOLF NOTES.

THE PUKEKOHE CLUB.

THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. The qualifying round for the local championships, junior and senior, will be over 36 holes, with eight to qualify in each grade. This will be played in two rounds on consecutive Saturdays, August 6 and 13 respectively.

Members with handicaps 15 and under are eligible for the senior, and members above 15 are only eligible for the junior championship. The first round will be played on Saturday next, members leaving in the order of the draw at four minute intervals, commencing at 1 p.m. from No. 1 tee. Members are asked to note that alterations to the draw must not be made without the permission of the match secretary. The draw is as follow: —

1 p.m., Jordan plays Crosbie; 1.4, Maddison plays Mills; 1.8, L. E. Snell plays Hawke; 1.12, E. F. Snell plays Laird; 1.16, Gill plays Johns; 1.20, Butcher plays Campbell; 1.24, King plays Cooper; 1.28, G. Reynolds plays Eyre; 1.32, Foster plays Duncan; 1.36, Schlaepfer plays Roulston; 1.40, Foote plays Colebaker; 1.44,_. Johnson plays Charlesworth; 1.48, Short .plays McWhirter; 1.52, Pike plays I.
