Mr B. C. Aitkinson, relieving officer at Auckland, has heen appointed stationmaster at Papakura.
j Mr A. J. Ede, stationmaster at | Drury, has been appointed to the disj triet traffic manager’s office, Auckland. The Rev. J. F. Martin returned from ! Christchurch on Saturday, where he | has been attending the Methodist ConI ference.
1 Mr and Mrs B. Iluckstep, of Devonporl, were the guests of Mr and Mrs W. Richardson, senr., ot' Great South Road, on Sunday.
Mr E. G. Foote, who lias leased the Globe Hotel, leaves at the beginning of next month for Auckland where he hopes to reside.
Mr G. Hackenhull, of the staff of the Papakura telephone exchange, who has been transferred to a similar position at Pokeno, went south this morning
