SCOUTS IN CAMP. AUTUMN FLOWER SHOW. St. David's troop of Boy Scouts are camped on Mr N. J. Sutherland's property, Glevedon South. The troop is attached to St. David's Presbyterian Church, Khyber Pass Road, Auckland, and has many ties with Glevedon through the Rev. D. C. Herron, the former minister of the church, who was a frequent visitor to this district. The scouts have a fine site for their camp at the north end of the Wairoa gorge and alongside a famous swimming pool at a bend of the Wairoa river.
The Glevedon branch of Ihe Women's division, N.Z. Farmers' Union, held a successful picnic at Mr A. W. Rennal's farm. Kawakawa bay. There was a goc' attendance of members and friend? who made the journey by ear or motor lorry, and who were fortunate in having beautiful weather for the outing.. The organisation was good and thanks of picnickers are due to Mrs N. P. Adams, president of the branch, and the committee for their successful efforts.
Those interested in holding the usual autumn show in connection with All Souls', Clevedon, Anglican church, hold a meeting tins week, Mr D. AT. Bryan in the chair. J. Snrth: fruit, Mrs C. F. Duder: home products, Mrs W. S. Duder and Miss M. Stephens; needlework, Mrs C. H. MeJlsop; school children's exhibits, Miss Z. Stephens and Miss i. Ryburn.
