ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

BARRY—JOHNS. CEREMONY AT EPSOM. A very pretty evening wedding was solemnised in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Epsom, on Tuesday, January 12, when Marie Frances, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. W. Johns, Mata, and formerly of Mauku, was marired to Desmond Whittalcer, younger son of Mrs W. G. Fountain, Mount Eden, and the late Eldon Barry, the ceremony being performed by Canon E. J. McFarland.

The bride's frock of ivory taffeta had a slim-fitting bodice with medici collar and inset front of lace and a long flared skirt. A wreath of orange blossoms and pearls held the lovely tulle veil in place and she carried a sheaf of Christmas lilies and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Rona Barry and Miss Alice Johns were similarly attired in deep daffodil yellow satin frocks of ankle length and carried beautiful sheafs of yellow arum lilies and fern. Mr Wynston Johns, brother of the bride, acted as best man, and the groomsman was Mr Richard Barry, cousin of the bridegroom.

After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Johns held a reception and dance in the Mount Eden Kiosk, when about 70 relatives and friends were entertained Mrs Johns received the guests in a frock and coatee of navy geor-

gette with small white spots, a pink hat, and bouquet in shades of pink. Mrs Fountain, mother of the bridegroom, wore a deep cyclamen georgette frock and navy coat and hat, the bouquet toning with her frock. Among those present were Mrs Johns, senr., Mr and Mrs A. C.
