YOUNG PEOPLE’S GUILDS.
PAPAKURA METHODISTS CLOSE SEASON.
The Young; People’s Societies connected with the Papakura Methodist Church closed their winter sessions last week by socials. The Young- People’s Guild spent a very pleasant time on Tuesday evening. The hall was well tilled and games were indulged in till a late hour. Before closing, (lie Hew ,1. F. Marlin spoke of the good work done by the secretary (Mr G. Blank), and the treasurer (Miss Gladys Huckster). Mr Marlin said lie looked forward to the tiexl session, when he hoped a portion of the time would lie spent in literary improvement classes. The speaker urged that all ’members should make 'in point of attending church during the summer. Cheers were given by members for Mr Marlin. On Wednesday, the Happy Hour children gathered together, about 70 being present, and a bright, jolty evening was spent in romps, games and supper. The Bov. Martin wished at! I lie children a Merry Xmas and thanked all who had helped, mentioning Mrs Blank and Misses Baulf and Kemp.
