IN FANCY DRESS.

SOCIAL CLUB’S FUNCTION. A I.AR GE ATT EN DANGE > One of Ihe most successful social functions of the year was the fancy dress dance held in the Oddfellows Hall on Saturday evening by the Pukekohe Literary andjSocial Club. There was an attendance of between 200 and 300 "members and them*, friends. Music was played by the club orchestra. Messrs 1). Fallows and O. Stoupe were Masters of Ceremonies.

A feature of the function was tb number and the wide variety of costumes worn. Tiie judges, Dr. A. 1 • Begg, Mrs Bakalich (Tuakau) and Mrs J). F. Prizes were donated by Messrs C. K. Lawrie, G. Bowden, F. Perkins, E. h! Keating, R. G. May, A. Schlaepfcr and J. Patterson.
