DISARMAMENT.

WORLD PEACE NOT ESTABLISHED 'general RICHARDSON’S COUNSEL. “Many of you men will ask what should your attitude be toward the League of Nations,” said Major-Gen-eral Sir George Richardson at the Tuakau ex-servicemen's reunion on Wednesday evening.

“Do all you can to uphold the league, but don’t do foolish things, and i suggest that this means disarming in New Zealand and reducing the navy,” said the general. Sir George stated that he had been a member of the league;- and went on to say that although several nations were effecting reductions in armaments, world peace was not an established factor yet. “Don’t do anything hasty in New Zealand,” was his final advice.
