PUKEKOHE CLUB’S ACTIVITIES. ________ i, ■ THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. : Tiie Pukekohe Golf Club’s Competitions were advanced a further stage on Saturday, the games resulting as follows: — Ladies’ division, Brosnahan spoons. —The final for the Brosnahan spoons resulted in favour of Mrs Bayly (handicap 17), who defeated Miss Hogan (handicap 27), 8 up and 7 to play. Senior championship, first round.— Miss .Wily beat Miss Daere, 3 up and 2 to play. ; In the semi-final of the junior championship Miss Jefferies defeated Miss O’Connor, 2 up and 1 to play. Medal aggregate.—The following are the best- cards returned for Ihe medal aggregate and bronze ami silver medal competitions: — ; ,

Men’s division. —Brosnahan ibeat Duncan, 7 up and 0 to play in! the semi-final for the senior cllant|)ionsiiip. The junior championship semi-final resulted as follows: Maddison beat Stuart, 3 up and 2 to play; Anderson beat Lawson, 2 up and 1 to play. The final cards for the medal aggregate were returned, the following being the best cards: —

The medal aggregate for the season (men’s division) was won by E. W. Lee (handicap 28) whose three best cards show an average nett score of 75. W. G. Brosnahan (handicap 8) and j. W. Johns (handicap 18) tied for second place with 76 and 60 respectively. ,Thc next best, averages were as follow: Lawson (medal handicap 20), 77.33 nett; Short (24), 77.33 riett; Anderson (22), 77.33 nett; Laity (12) 77.66 nett; Middlemiss (20), 77.66 nett; Duncan (20), 78 nett; Wily (16) 79 nett;. Johnson (14), 79.33 nett; Payne (10), 80.66 nett. The ladies’ medal aggregate was won by Miss Jefferies (handicap 30), whose 1 three best cards returned for the season averaged 75 nett. Mrs Bayly (handicap 23) was second with 75.33 strokes nett. The following are the next best scores: Miss Backhurst (23) 77 nett; Miss Wily (18). 81.66. nett; Miss Barnes (33), 82.66 riett’; Miss Middlemiss (36), 85.33 nett.; Miss Jefferies (30), nett 75, is also the winner of the bronze medal, which is competed for by players with a handicap of 20 or over. The three best cards are taken as in the m'edal aggregate and divided by three, subtracting the handicap in each case,,... •Miss Wily (handicap 18) won ; the silver medal competition with .81.66 nett, which is for players with a handicap of under 20.
