The following nominations have been received by the clerk of the Franklin County Council (Mr Alan P. Day) for the vacant seat on the council caused by the resignation of Air W. Claud Motion, member for Ihe Waipipi riding:— Maxwell Aldred, Waiuku. .las. Ballanl.yne, Otaua. Cordon W. Honey, Waiuku.
A poll will tic taken on Friday next, 'l'lie polling booths are at Waiuku. Olaua. and the county oince, Pukekohe.
