“BOOSTING TUAKAU.”

(To the Editor)

Sir, —It is greater to build up than pull down, and it is greater to “boost” a town than allow it to lie stagnant., In'reference to the remarks of “Our Tuakau correspondent,” I take it that the “neighbouring” town is PukekoV and I take strong exception to the statement that all the early potatoes on the iHill were frosted last year. A few odd pieces were frosted, but this was due to adjacent hedges, poorly lying land, etc. The wheel may turn and then perhaps the “celebrated” Red Hill will be frosted. We have heard a good deal about Rama Rama, Paerata, Paparata, Bombay and Tuakau superceding Pukekohe in supplies of early potatoes, but the experienced man only smiles. Ye correspondents of the aforesaid districts boost your own places for all you’re worth, but play the game.—l am, etc., AGRICOLA.
