(P. A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, August 20. Earl McCready beat Tom Rice by one fall in a solid wrestling bout at Hawera to-night. Rice often earned the crowd’s displeasure by applying a throat hold, which brought frequent warnings from the referee. McCready obtained his fall after applying a rocking-chair splits.

BLOMFIELD DEFEATS BELL (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 20. Lofty Blomfield beat Kay Bell in- a professional wrestling contest. Blonifield gained a fall in the opening seconds of the first round after elbow jolts. Bell, secured a fall in the fourth round after jolts and dumps, and the bout ended in the sixth round, when Blomfield secured an octopus clamp.
