Strange Story of an Australian Naval Man

.(Req. 9 a.m.) TOKIO. July 16. An official Australian search party will leave T°kio tomorrow to investigate reports that a survivor of the Australian cruiser Perth, which was sunk by the Japanese early in I 942, has been living ih Northern Kyushu for the last three years. The survivor is reported to be Second-stoker Jack Cromarty Angrave. According to reports received by the Australian Red Cross in Japan, news of Angrave s whereabouts came from a Dutch refugee named Maryn. who works in a village near where Angrave is reported to be.
