UNABATED FIGHTING REPORTED ON ALL JAVA FRONTS
(«». U ft.m.) ' BATAVIA,- July, Id. Unabated hostilities on all java fronts last week are reported in a message from Jogjakarta quoting a .Republican army communique issued to-day. Clashes with' Dutch forces are reported from Kodjokerto, on the Sourabaya perimeter, and Serpcmg, in the west seotor of the Batavia perimeter, where the Republicans claim that the Dutch used small tanks, -A 90-minute gun duel hetween Dutch naval patrol units and shore batteries is reported from Ketepang, south of Banjihvangi, on the east coast, yesterday, in which three Indonesians were wounded, The . Dutch newspaper, ‘ Nien Wagicr,' to-day. says the diplomatic discussions are being strongly influenced by increasing reports of destruction behind the demarcation lines, especially in the Bandung'and Biiitenzorg areas.
