The Mayor, iMr Cameron, who is visiting Jn>'ercargill, will return to Dunedin on Monday. The city electrical engineer, Mr G s T Edgar, returned to Dunedin yesterday after attending the regional conference of electricity supply authorities’ engineers at Christchurch. Mr P. M. Espie returned from Wellington last night. - Mr W. Grey Henderson left for Christchurch by the express this morning. Mr T. 01. N. Lothian, senior lecturer in horticulture at Canterbury Agricultural College, has been appointed director of the Botanic Gardens at Adelaide. He was at the Munich Botanic Gardens just before the outbreak of war, and Was one of the last British subjects to leave Germany. After his Army service he was appointed to Lincoln 'College in November. 1944. Two years ago he won the Cockayne Medal. Mr J. G. Henderson returned from Wellington last night. Mr Thomas Ramsay, a member of the executive of the _ Imperial Exservices’ Association since its inception. will retire as president of the association at the annual meeting tliis month.
