WAVE OF RIOTING CONTINUES IN INDIAN CITY

(Rec. 1.20 p.m.) CALCUTTA, <luly 9. Fifteen were (killed and 51 injured in renewed communal rioting, states a Bengal Government communique. The police opened fire on six occasions to disperse crowds attempting to block traffic in different parts of the city, and made 130 arrests. A later message says a wave of rioting in Calcutta by Hindus and Moslems entered its third day with four people killed and 20 injured. Tramcar and bus services were stopped. Shops and business premises reopened hopefully after two days but hurriedly shut again.
