LEADING BASKETBALL TEAM TO TOUR DOMINION

Drawn wholly from members of the Dunedin branch of the Land and Income Tax Department, the Taxes indoor basketball team, which is at present leading in the Mercantile A Division of the Otago Men’s Basketball Association’s competitions, will leave to-night on a nine days’ tour of the Dominion. Matches will be played against teams from the department's branches in Christchurch, Napier, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Wellington. In each of these centres the Taxes teams play in the district association’s competitions. The Dunedin team will comprise 0. Berg, N. Challis, A. Dunn, M. Currie, L. Fagg,F. Jack, J. Macmillan, and H.. Wagner, with Mr Jack as managercaptain. On August 2 the Taxes team will play the Invercargill Taxes team at Invercargill, and on September. 13 a triangular tournament will be held between Taxes teams from Dunedin, Christchurch, and Invercargill.
