(Rec. 1 p.m.) PERTH, June 2. Success appears to be crowning the efforts of doctors and nurses engaged in a fight to preserve/the life of a tiny baby born at Bridgetown, South-west Australia, a fortnight ago. At birth the infant was so fragile that official ing could not be carried out, out after five days the mite weighed I|lb, the* weight increased by the minutest fraction daily, and at the latest weighing the infant was 11b 15oz, with every prospect of continuing an increase. The smallest survivor known to the State’s leading maternity hospital was an Infant who weighed I£lb at birth.
