CHAMPION BOXER ARRESTED FOR STRIKING REFEREE
LONDON, May 16; The police entered a Glasgow boxing ring last night and arrested Jake Kilrain, the Scottish middle-weight champion, who will . appear in court to-day on a charge of striking the referee. , Kilrain was fighting Freddy Price, of Belfast. He was warned thrice for alleged fouls, and in the fourth round the referee ordered Kilrain to his corner for butting with his head. Kilrain refused to obey, and went on swinging his arms. Spectators jumped into the ring and tried to separate the boxers, but the police had finally to separate both boxers and spectators, who began fighting each other. An official was thrown out of the ring during the pandemonium.
