Mrs S. G. Holland left yesterday on her return to Christchurch. Miss E. J. Ford, formerly of Dunedin and now of Wellington, is at present visiting this city. Dr and Mrs A. Latham, and their family, -are the guests of Dr and Mrs W. E. Adams, Heriot Row. Mis D. Campbell and Mr C. Campbell, of St. Kilda, have left for an extended holiday in Nelson. Miss Joan Gray (Wellington) and Miss Nerolie Stokes (Gore), visitors for the Capping festivities, are the guests of Miss Gray’s parents, Mr and Mrs Alan Gray, of Lynwood Avenue. A programme of one-act plays is to be presented by the Repertory Society for members and friends in the Concert Chamber on the evenings of May 26 and 27 ‘ United Nations ’ will be the subject of Mr J. H. Kempthorue’s' talk to members of the Dunedin Travel Club next Wednesday morning. The hostesses will be Mesdames S. G. Seoullar and Dora Smeaton. Hostesses for 'Miss Margaret Gray, whose marriage to Mr Jim Wilkinson, of “ Kirkliston,” Hakataramea, will take place at the fßoslyn Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, have been Mrs Jeffrey Barnett, Mrs J. Valentine, Misses Gwenda Chance, Wendy Greenslade, Shona Hoghan, Joan Gray, Judith Clarke, Helen Hay, and Joan Wilkinson.
