SABOTAGE IN BATAVIA
WAREHOUSE DESTROYED BATAVIA, May 2. Sabotage is suspected to be the cause of a fire last night which razed a godown owned by the Rotterdam Lloyd Shipping Line in Batavia Harbour, destroying, among other goods, 5,000 tons of rubber seized in March from the American freighter Martin Behrman. The Netherlands Shipping Line’s flagship Oranje, which served as a hospital ship during the .war,-was among the vessels which had to be towed to safety. The damage is estimated at 1,000,000 Dutch guilders.
