EXPULSION FROM BOXING ASSOCIATION THE JONES-MURPHY CASE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Way 2. The committee of the i-lutt Valley Boxing Association passed a. resolution to the effect that it was of the opinion that Brosnau’s dislfiyalty in carrying confidential information to tile Boxing Council as to purses paid was contrary to the interests of the association, and that he should be expelled,” said Mr R. E. Harding, in the Supreme Court to-day, when presenting a motion to strike out the statement of claim made by William Matthew Brosnau on the latter’s motion for an interim injunction to restrain the association front exercising the rights and privileges of membership of the association. In his statement of claim, the plaintiff’ alleged that no full inquiry had been held! by the association as required under the rules and the persons who had purported to resolve upon his expulsion were not a properly constituted committee of the association, and were not competent to expel him; therefore, the purported' expulsion was a nullity and inoperative. Mr E. F. Rothwell ns appearing for the plaintiff. The hearing was adjourned until to-morrow.
