NATIONAL PARTY

MOHTECILLO BRANCH The annual meeting of the Montecillo branch of the National Party in the Mornington electorate was held on Thursday in the party centre. Mr T. O’Shea being in the chair. Following the annual report, the election of officers resulted in, Mr IV. Hall Masters being elected chairman, Mr It. O. Hamilton deputy chairman, and Miss E. A. O’Shea as secretary. Delegates to the Electorate Committee were also appointed. An interesting address touching upon social security payments and benefits was given by Mr W. Easton, and the debate which followed provided one of the highlights of the evfening. On the social side, vocal items were given by the Misses Patricia Adcock, Patricia Begg, Audrey Douglas, and Mr Charles Turner, the young ladies being pupils of Mr John Beech. They were accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their entertainment. An enjoyable evening concluded with supper.
