INAUGURAL RIGHT
AUCKLAND-VANCOUVER SERVICE ‘ TATANA'S ARRIVAL FEATURED IN CANADA VANCOUVER, April 27. The latest link in the All-Red air route, was completed at 4 p.m. 'today with the arrival of the Australian National Airways airliner Tatana from Auckland after 40 hours’ flying time, and inaugurating the fortnightly service. A crowd of 500 assembled to greet the aircraft, including civic dignitaries. The 17 passengers included 'Mr James Thorn, the newlv-appointed New Zealand High Commissioner, and Mr R. G. Gunst, assistant passenger superintendent of Australian National Airways. Mr Thom is returning to San Francisco immediately to greet his wife and (laughter, who are arriving by boat, and to hid farewell to his predecessor, Mr David Wilson, who is returning to New Zealand.
